Hybrids Not As Popular As They Used To Be — American Auto Shipping Blog

According to Bloomberg, hybrid and full-electric vehicles are losing ground to conventionally-powered automobiles, which is something of a shock to most people in the auto shipping industry.

Hybrids have been a rising commodity in the automotive industry, especially among younger, more eco-friendly buyers. But it turns out that people like eco-friendly and cheap, not just one or the other.

As conventional engines improve in mileage and emissions, more people are turning to those as they are usually much lower-priced than hybrid vehicles. But gasoline prices are skyrocketing again, and hybrids - even in today's market - are still considered to be the best in terms of miles per gallon, even if they aren't.

We'll see where the hybrid's future is going as it happens.
