But when we say research, you’re probably thinking, what exactly do we mean? The answer is pretty simple, really – we mean get multiple quotes from different shippers and look at ratings and reviews to find a company that is reputable and reliable and that you can trust.
See, trust is one of the most important things that you can have when it comes to shipping a vehicle – if you can’t trust your auto transportation company, how can you trust that they’re going to take care of your vehicle when you ship with them?
This is why doing your research and learning more about how the industry works – and, more importantly, the companies you are trying to book your shipment with – is so important. Finding a company that you know is reputable and reliable will save you a lot of hassle in the long run, and why we highly recommend that you take the time.
There are a few good websites out there that can help, notably TransportReviews.com – it’s the industry-leading customer-based review website for car shipping companies. Each review is legit – there’s a rigorous vetting process for posting reviews, and companies can lose their listing on Transport Reviews for fake reviews.
You can also look at the Better Business Bureau, which can help a lot, but companies have to pay to be a part of the BBB so not everyone does. Transport Reviews is free, and if your company isn’t on there you can help get them on there. On the whole Transport Reviews is where you should always start your research.
