Uniontown is a city in, the county seat of and the largest city within Fayette County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Located about 45 miles or so southeast of Pittsburgh, the second-largest city in the state, Uniontown sits on the periphery of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The city was founded in 1776, oddly enough on July 4th, the same day as the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia, the largest city in Pennsylvania.
