Auto Transport to Chicago
Chicago is one of the largest cities in the U.S. – third largest, to be exact – and as such it is a very popular auto transport location both for customers shipping to and shipping from the area.
Chicago is perhaps more popular during the summer shipping season, as there are many more carriers running routes to the Windy City during the summer months due to the increase in customer traffic.
You can still find good deals to transport your vehicle to or from Chicago during the winter months, but they may be a bit more expensive due to the location of the city despite the fact that prices tend to drop a bit in the winter time.
There are quote a few different ways to get in or out of Chicago, which makes it easier on auto transporters to get to or from the city. Major interstates running into Chicago include I-90, I-55, I-57, and I-65.
Note that the only major east-west interstate is I-90, which shares a route with I-80 through the Chicago area; the rest are north-south oriented, which actually makes sense considering Chicago is located in the Great Lakes region of the U.S.
Many major areas in the southern Midwest are easily accessible from Chicago (and, conversely, Chicago is easily accessible from those cities), and it helps that all three of those north-south interstates intersect with I-90 near Chicago, in addition to other east-west interstates further south.
This increases Chicago’s ease of access, which results in lower transport prices and quicker pickup times during most times of the year.
