Reno is a city in as well as the county seat of Washoe County in the U.S. state of Nevada. Home to a population of over 233,000 residents, Reno is the third-largest city in the state and the second-largest outside of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area was first settled in the late 1850’s, though it would not see any major growth until the Transcontinental Railroad was build during the mid-1860’s. A late-century mining boom helped the city’s growth, and by the early 20th century the city had become one of the two main areas of power in Nevada along with Las Vegas. After gambling was legalized stateside in 1931, Reno began to grow rapidly, and today is perhaps most famous for being the home of Caesar’s Entertainment Corporation.
As mentioned, Reno anchors the Reno-Sparks Metropolitan Statistical Area, the second-largest in the state of Nevada and home to over 437,600 total residents. Its size makes it a more popular auto transport location among customers, as larger cities tend to see more auto transportation traffic, and with Reno being the third-largest city in Nevada – not to mention the second-largest outside the Las Vegas metro area – it’s not surprising that it sees a bit of traffic, but the prices in and out of the area might. This increases their operating costs since they won’t get near as many loads running through Reno, which in turn increases your prices as a result.

During the winter the snows can fall, but it doesn’t happen every year – at least not in droves like it tends to in the mountainous regions around Reno as well as areas in the northern parts of the country.
